Richard Logan, PharmD '04, to Receive NCPA Prescription Drug Safety Award


The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) will award the 2009 NCPA Prescription Drug Safety Award to Richard N. Logan, Jr., a 2004 Pharm.D. graduate of the Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions and owner of L & S Pharmacy in Charleston, MO.

The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) will award the 2009 NCPA Prescription Drug Safety Award to Richard N. Logan, Jr., a 2004 Pharm.D. graduate of the Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions and owner of L & S Pharmacy in Charleston, MO.

 

The announcement will be made at the association’s 111th Annual Convention and Trade Exposition to be held held October 2009 in New Orleans, LA.

 

As part of the award, NCPA makes a $1,000 donation to the school of the recipient's choice.  Logan has named Creighton's School of Pharmacy and Health Professionsl Alumni Centennial Scholarship fund his choice to receive the donation.

 

The Prescription Drug Safety Award, sponsored by Purdue Pharma, L.P., recognizes pharmacists who have reached out in their communities to provide education on the benefits of the correct use of prescription drug products and the hazards associated with their misuse.
