Officials from Loras College and Creighton University have signed a collaborative agreement that will enable Loras students priority placement in Creighton's School of Pharmacy and Health Professions.

Creighton's SPAHP agreed to give priority consideration for admission, and to reserve a select few positions in each first-year pharmacy class to those qualified Loras students who meet pre-requisite and admission requirements.

"This agreement offers Loras College students access to another major course of study at one of the country's best pharmacy programs," said Loras President James Collins. "Partnerships such as this reflect the respect other institutions have for Loras's academic quality."

The agreement requirements include a minimum number of semester hours of credit; completion of pre-pharmacy, biology, chemistry and organic chemistry requirements; pre-requisite courses; minimum scores on required entrance testing and an interview process; and Creighton SPAHP admission requirements.

Only St. Louis University has been granted a similar arrangement by Creighton.
