Dr. J. Chris Bradberry

Dean, School of Pharmacy and Health Professions Welcome to Our Website:

On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of the Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, welcome to the home page of the School. Our vision is to be nationally recognized for the quality and professional excellence of our graduates through value-centered teaching and learning, research and scholarship, and patient centered care and service. Our commitment is demonstrated by fostering leadership, advancing knowledge, promoting justice and embracing change.

Our School offers creative, world-renowned, professional entry-level programs leading to professional doctoral degrees in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy. The School annually accepts 110 Pharmacy students, 52 Physical Therapy students, and 33 Occupational Therapy students into its on-campus programs. In addition, approximately 55 students are accepted into the distance-based Doctor of Pharmacy pathway.

Our School of Pharmacy and Health Professions was the first School in the nation to offer the Doctor of Physical Therapy and the Doctor of Occupational Therapy degrees as entry-level degrees. We also offer post-professional Clinical Doctorate programs in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

Similarly, the school offers the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the Ph.D. degree is offered in conjunction with the Department of Pharmacology, School of Medicine. A dual Pharm.D./MBA degree option is available. Creighton’s Doctor of Pharmacy Program is consistently ranked as one of the top private university Pharmacy Programs in the country. Also, US News and World Report ranks our Doctor of Physical Therapy Program 16th in the Nation and our Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program among the top 50 programs. As you can see, our professional educational programs are first-class!

Creighton’s School of Pharmacy and Health Professions is a national leader in academic e-learning and technology. Both campus and distance pathways are well supported by our technology infrastructure. For instance, our Doctor of Pharmacy Distance Pathway is the only web-based distance entry level program in the United States. Pharmacy students take their didactic courses from home locations throughout the Nation and laboratory courses are offered during the summers in concentrated periods of time. Clinical rotations are offered in the same manner as our traditional campus-based students.

The School focuses on providing outstanding learning experiences to its students in research opportunities, clinical experiences and service learning. Thus, the themes of service to others and finding God in all things are inherent in the programs of the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions.

We look forward to becoming part of your professional future. As you consider your choice of academic institutions, we at Creighton want you to remember we offer a value-added professional education and excellence in academic and clinical development in your chosen discipline. We are extremely proud of the positive impact our graduates continue to make on the health of our citizens and we invite you to join us in contributing to this Creighton tradition.
