Introduction to Teaching and Learning - an online seminar
A resource for faculty new to the online classroom as well as veterans seeking resources and information to enhance their online teaching. This self-directed and self-paced seminar contains modules designed to provide you with a theoretical framework for teaching online as well as some practical suggestions and tools.  Seminar topics include: Overview of best practices, assessment in the online classroom, creating and facilitating virtual groups, course design, instructor roles in the online classroom, management and support of online learners, copyright. Introduction to Teaching and Learning Workgroups
To form a workgroup of faculty preparing to teach online contact  Ms. Michele King in the Office for Academic Excellence and Assessment at
mking@creighton.edu Introduction to Teaching and Learning in 304 sessions of 1.5 hours each. Workgroups generally meet face-to-face and work through the online seminar.

BlueLine - Learning Management System (LMS): The Creighotn University LMS which includes a variety of tools for online and hybrid courses including a gradebook, assessment tools, collaboration tools, and more. BlueCafe (Wimba) - Web Conferencing: For faculty and students, BlueCafe powers the virtual classroom inside BlueLine and enhances BlueLine's features by allowing faculty and students to meet real time, online.
 
BlueQ: Web-based surveys: Creating surveys and analyzing results can be done with ease in the completely web-based application. BlueQ can also be used as a teaching tool for students learning survey methodology. Faculty and staff members can request an account at blueq@creighton.edu.
 
BlueTrain: Learn software applciations: BlueTrain is an online tutorial repository for a wide variety of software application. Faculty, staff and students can go through a tutorial once or s many times as needed. Log in from your desk, at home, or participate in a workshop.
 
PODCasting: Faculty wishing to capture audio files for Podcasting to students may do so using lecture capture, digital audio records, or the Podcasting studio.
 
Audio/Video Creation: Several resources within the School and the University are available to faculty wishing to create audio/video learning materials
 
BlueVue: Video Sharing: Upload and compress video that can be shared between students and faculty.
 
Echo 360°: Lecture capture, video creation: Available fo rfaculty to create videos or mini lecture to include in your online course.
 
iTunes: Podcasting: Through ITunes, faculty can podcast to students, departments can share digital media, and the university can recruit new students and keep in contact with alumni and friends of the university. It is THE way to share digital audio, video, and text files.
