Design

We at School of Pharmacy and Health Professions strive to give you the best User Experience. We realize that the web site has to do more than just be text with pretty pictures.

A site should not only be visually appealing but also meet the standards of usability - Usability is the measure of the ease with which people can employ a particular tool or other human-made object in order to achieve a particular goal. and Web accessibility - Web Accessibility in simple terms means that people with disabilities can interact and contribute to the web in an efficient manner. Web Accessibility encompasses all disabilities that affect their use with the web, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive and neurological disabilities..

We are working towards the implementation of Section 508 guidelines within the University. Unfortunately not all our pages meet these standards. But our goal is to meet the standards for all the pages.

Is this website a personalized portal? Currently it is not. However the plan is to build a site which will help user to communicate and interact better with each other. Upcoming features planned (in development) are Page comments, Discussion Boards, Podcasting, Live Technical support, Classified Ads.
We are always looking for people who want to actively involve in our development and testing process. If you are interested please contact us.

What is the artwork on the headers? School MeadallionThe art work on the header is a combination of the Jesuit icon (the sun with rays) and the School Medallion. The School of Pharmacy and Health Professions medallion was designed to reflect the professional goals, aspirations and values common to the occupational therapy, physical therapy and pharmacy programs. The ionic-style columns represent the learning and scholarly inquiry that characterize the academy. The central figure with upstretched arms represents triumph over infirmity and disability, affirms a commitment to human dignity, and celebrates the resiliency of the human spirit.
The rays in the background signify hope, healing and the anticipation of positive therapeutic outcomes from occupational therapy, physical therapy and pharmacy-related patient care.
