Pharmacy Resident Grand Rounds
Pharmacy Resident Grand Rounds for the Academic Year 2008-2009 are presented at the Creighton University Medical Center. One program is presented the last Thursday in each of the following months: August, September, October, November, January, February, March, April, May, and June.

Title: Perioperative Management of Antithrombotic Thearpy

Objectives:
- Identify antithrombotic agents used in both inpatient and outpatient care.
- Recognize the challenges of adjusting antithrombotic therapy for surgical procedures.
- Understand risks associated with performing a surgical procedure on a patient that is anticoagulated.
- Discuss CHEST Guidelines for perioperative management of antithrombotic therapy.

The Pharmacy Grand Rounds education program has been approved by the Nebraska Council for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education. Participants will be awarded up to a maximum of 0.1 CEUs (1.0 contact hours) for completion of this program. Credit will be awarded based on the total number of hours attended and completion of a program evaluation form. NCCPE Statements of Credit will be mailed within 60 days of this program. If your Statement of Credit is not received in a timely manner, contact NCCPE at 402-420-1500.
