Mr. Peck graduated in 1988 with a Baccalaureate degree in Exercise Science from Kansas State University, a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1990, and a PhD in Higher Education, Administration and Leadership from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2004. His dissertation was focused on how faculty members in a faith-based university perceived their responsibility in fostering the academic mission of Ignatian spirituality.

Since graduation, he has worked in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient sports/ orthopedics, acute care, nursing homes, and home health. In the fall of 1993, he initiated one of only two degree granting programs in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Nebraska. Mr. Peck has remained active as a practicing physical therapist throughout his teaching career on a part-time basis, and was credentialed as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in the year 2000. Currently, he provides physical therapy services for Native American Indians at the Fred Leroy Health and Wellness Center in Omaha Nebraska.
